We know most folks are going to be travelling from out of town, so we want to share our local knowledge. Tucson has a lot of great places to stay, from resorts, to hotels, to bed and breakfasts, to AirBnB's.
Tucson TUS and Phoenix PHX are both great airports to fly into, with a 30 minute or 1 hour 30 minute drive to the area of our wedding venue, respectively. If you’re not renting a car, getting around Tucson via Lyft is relatively affordable ($30 from one end of the city to the other, $10 from nearby hotels to the wedding venue), with good all-hours availability.
For those not planning to fly, the American Southwest has open roads, high speed limits, and some great scenery. Please travel with a few gallons of water in your car anytime you're driving through the desert, and keep an eye out for stretches with no gas stations.
There are many other great resorts in Tucson. Some others that we can recommend within 30 minutes of the venue include:
JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa at 3800 W Starr Pass Blvd
The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa at 3800 E Sunrise Dr
Unfortunately, the Leger-Hendrick Room Block at Omni has been booked out.
As of May, there is still some availability at Omni for our wedding weekend, and you are welcome to book as a general guest and ask them to note that you're part of the Leger Hendrick Wedding.
There are multiple hotels and motels within 10 minutes of the wedding venue around the $50-$80/night price point, which is more our speed! They include:
Best Western Gold Poppy Inn at 4930 W Ina Road
Travelodge by Wyndham at 4910 W Ina Rd
Red Roof Inn Tucson North - Marana at 4940 W Ina Rd
Motel 6 Tucson, AZ North at 7277 North Camino De Oeste
Finally, there are a lot of great bed & breakfasts and historical hotels if you're looking to soak up those Old West vibes. Check out Hotel Congress or the Arizona Inn if that sounds up your alley!
There are also plenty of AirBnB's! Tucson is the land of snowbirds. We recommend looking for something north of River Road for a good view of the Catalina Mountains (those are the pink ones up above).
